Tuesday mayhem

Today Jeff, Robert and I were scheduled to start work at two so we had some time available to volunteer at the canopy tour again. B206 was scheduled to do their day of service so I felt it appropriate that I volunteer too
The staff was glad to accept our help. A staff teen by the name of Rosemary was there again. She was so friendly and pleasant.  continually singing songs she learned at camp while she worked. Met some volunteers from minuteman council.
This may look unorganized but it worked very well for us. These are the harnesses that we staged for the next scouts who were going on the course. The prior scout who wore it just stepped out of the gear after we loosened all the straps. Eight straps had to be adjusted on each scout to match his body size. And two carabiners plus helmet and gloves.  I think it took me about five min per scout to put the gear on and about three to take off after I got proficient.  We worked about three hours continuously. I was dripping with sweat
Then my real volunteer job at two. Our last all hands on deck group meeting. The leadership showed it's gratitude to us. We had a good team who was able to offer a lot to the Jamboree program. After the meeting we took a group photo. I hope to get a copy. Then the team was dispersed to pick up a portion of computer and radio and phone equipment that wasn't needed any longer. We worked pretty hard again and only brought back about a quarter of the gear by eight pm. Tomorrow will be another busy day!

Working Monday

If you can call it that
8 to 8 with a two hour tour of the campsite in one of these ATVs
Josh and I
toured the shooting ranges at the top of the hill at base camp Delta   I have posted some pictures of the arrow and rifle/shotgun ranges in my photo album

This is the IT headquarters that I've worked a couple of times in

Very few issues to take care of at this point. Tomorrow we start getting back equipment, so we should be getting busier again shortly
